What is AI motion capture from video?

AI motion capture analyzes a person’s movement in video and reconstructs it as a 3D motion sequence. This markerless workflow uses ordinary camera footage, without a motion capture suit. The motion can then be retargeted to a compatible humanoid character and refined as editable animation.

How can I use video motion capture in Blender?

Record a clear full-body performance, reconstruct its motion, and retarget the result to a compatible character. Export a Blender scene to continue editing animation, materials, lighting, and cameras. GLB assets are another option for workflows that support animated GLB files. The source footage and character rig affect how much cleanup is needed.

Do I need a motion capture suit?

No. The platform is designed to reconstruct human movement from ordinary video without mocap suits, markers, or dedicated capture studios.

Can I use my own 3D character?

Yes. You can upload compatible humanoid models, including GLB and VRM assets. The platform analyzes the available rig and maps the motion to the character.
